Machining castings into finished components
Casting and machining sit under one roof here, which removes the hand-off that usually costs time and accuracy. We also machine parts that were cast elsewhere.
Operations
Conventional machines handle one-offs and repair work; CNC takes over where a run has to repeat to the same dimensions.
- Turning of shafts, bores, flanges, spigots and profiles
- Milling of faces, pads and slots
- Drilling, tapping, spot-facing and boring of hole patterns
- CNC machining where a run has to repeat to the same dimensions
Why one site matters
When the foundry and the machine shop belong to the same works, machining allowances are set by the people who will cut the metal, and a problem found at the machine goes straight back to the pattern. Nothing waits on another supplier.
Work we do regularly
Bearing bores and seal seats, flange faces and spigots turned to register, bolt-circle holes, threaded ports, keyways and splined bores, and journals turned and finished on crankshafts.
Questions customers ask
Can you machine parts you did not cast?
Yes. Send the castings or forgings with a drawing and we will quote the machining on its own.
Do you work from a drawing or a sample?
Either. If there is no drawing, we measure the sample and agree the dimensions with you before cutting.
How do you check the finished part?
Critical features are measured with calipers, micrometers and height gauges before the part is released. Where a drawing also calls for hardness or material testing, we have it done at an outside laboratory.
Tell us what you need made.
A drawing, a CAD file or a worn sample part is enough to start. We are in Korangi, Karachi, and we answer on WhatsApp.
