Sand casting, from pattern to poured part
We have been pouring sand castings in Korangi, Karachi since 1989. Patterns, moulding, melting and shake-out all happen at our own works, so a drawing or a single sample part is enough to start.
Moulding methods
We choose the moulding method to suit the part, the finish you need and the quantity you order.
- Green-sand moulding for repeat production work
- Resin-bonded moulding where a harder mould and a cleaner surface are needed
- Cored castings for housings, covers and thin-walled parts with internal passages
Patterns made in-house
Our own pattern shop makes the patterns and core boxes, working from your drawing, your CAD file or a physical sample. Keeping pattern work in-house means corrections take days rather than weeks, and the tooling stays with your job for repeat orders.
What we need from you
Send whichever of these you have. A sample part alone is enough; we can measure it and work back to a drawing.
- A drawing, CAD file (PDF, DWG or STEP) or a physical sample
- The material grade, if your design specifies one
- Quantity: a single replacement casting, a batch, or an annual volume
- Whether you want the part as-cast or fully machined
Typical parts we pour
Housings, covers, drums, hubs, axle tubes, crankshafts, clutch components and pump brackets for tractor, automotive, motorcycle and industrial customers.
Questions customers ask
Do you make the pattern, or must I supply one?
We make patterns and core boxes in our own pattern shop. If you already have a pattern we can work from it, but most customers send only a drawing or a sample part.
What is the minimum order?
One part. We regularly pour single replacement castings as well as recurring batch production.
Which metals do you cast?
Gray cast iron, SG (ductile) iron and LM-6 aluminium alloy.
Can you machine the casting as well?
Yes. Our machine shop is on the same site, so castings can be turned, milled, drilled and tapped before they leave us.
