Three decades of metallurgy, built in Pakistan
Founded in 1989 in Karachi by metallurgist Riaz Ahmed, Empire Mechanical Complex began as a three-person foundry with one idea: that a casting could be poured, machined and finished under one roof, here at home. More than three decades later it is still a family business, run by engineers, with the foundry and the machine shop on the same site.
Pakistan’s tractor and automotive industries lean heavily on imported components, and when one is discontinued the machine stops. Much of our work is exactly that problem: localising a part, or rebuilding an obsolete one from a sample, for OEMs and the aftermarket here in Pakistan.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Riaz Ahmed founded Empire Mechanical Complex in 1989, beginning with three employees. Over three decades he has built it into an integrated foundry and machine shop. His metallurgical training sets the standards on the foundry floor, from the melt to final inspection.

Riaz is supported by his son, Manzoor Ahmed, who looks after engineering: CAD and CAM modelling of parts before tooling is cut, reverse engineering from customer samples, and the material choice for each job.

Every part is made to the customer’s own drawing or sample and treated as confidential: drawings are never shown to anyone else, and no customer’s part appears in our photographs without permission.

ISO 9001
Not certifiedWe are not ISO 9001 certified today. The quality documentation is being put in place, and we will publish the certificate here if and when it is issued.
Laboratory testing
Arranged outsideWe do not own a spectrometer or run an in-house testing laboratory. Where a drawing calls for hardness or chemical analysis, we arrange it with an outside laboratory and pass you the report.
In-house checks
Every partDimensional inspection of the features that matter, visual and soundness checks on the casting, and a fit check against your sample where we have one.
If your purchase order requires a material certificate or a test report, tell us at the quotation stage. We will say plainly whether we can meet it ourselves, arrange it with a laboratory, or not meet it at all.
Getting the parts to you
We are a Karachi works serving customers in Pakistan, and we quote export orders on request.
Collection from the works
Parts can be collected from Plot No. C.I.B/4, Sector-16, during working hours.
Delivery within Pakistan
We pack and dispatch to customers across Pakistan by the carrier you prefer, or by ours.
Export enquiries
We quote export orders ex-works Karachi and can work with your freight forwarder. Tell us the destination and we will be clear about what we can and cannot handle.
Packing
Machined faces protected and parts crated or strapped for the journey. Tell us if your plant needs a particular packing standard.
Lead time depends on the part, whether a pattern has to be made, and how much machining is involved. We give you a date with the quotation rather than a general promise.
