About this part
The job of this casting is to hold two things concentric: the flange register that locates the pump and the bore that carries the shaft. We face the top flange with its register, drill the bolt circle and machine the shaft bore so the two stay in line, because any error here goes straight into the coupling and the seal. It is finished in blue enamel with the machined faces left bare.
How we make it
- Sand cast in gray iron
- Top flange faced with register
- Bolt holes drilled
- Shaft and bearing bore machined
- Dimensional and visual checks
Can you cast housings for other pump sizes?
Yes. Send the drawing or the old housing and we will make the pattern for that size.
Do you machine housings cast elsewhere?
Yes, we take machining-only work. Send the castings with a drawing and we will quote the machining.
